Anytime we forget who we are, we will always be in trouble wherever we’re at. The Bible tells us that we “are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of His own” (1 Peter 2:9). We should always deem what the Bible says about our identity as greater than anything we think, or have thought, about ourselves. Remember, one is based upon truth (God’s Word), the other on lies (the world).
